Heating systems for country and country houses. Boilers, geysers, water heaters - Repair, service, operation
No matter how reliable the heating equipment of the Swedish company Electrolux is, sometimes it breaks down. In this case, a combination of letters and numbers is displayed on the control panel: an error code, decoding which you can find out the type of failure. Malfunctions caused by external factors can be eliminated independently. To solve more serious problems (with electronics or failure of internal modules), you will need to contact the service. Possible problems with an Electrolux gas boiler are presented in detail in the table.
Let's look at the errors of the Electrolux gas boiler, which you can fix yourself:
- Error E1 is displayed when there is no flame on the burner. In this case, check whether the gas valve is closed. Another solution to the problem may be to restart the heating unit using the Reset button.
- If the water in the heating system overheats (t 100 °C and above), error E is displayed. Wait until the coolant cools down, then press the Reset button to reboot the boiler.
- Error E3 on the Electrolux boiler display means problems with exhaust gas removal. In XFi series units with a closed chamber, a possible reason is the failure of the forced ventilation fan. For Xi series units with an open burner, check the chimney to see if it is clogged with soot or foreign objects.
- If the coolant pressure in the heating system drops below 0.4 bar, the Electrolux boiler electronics display error E. In this case, it is enough to recharge the system by raising the pressure to 1–1.2 bar. Additionally, a restart of the equipment is required.
- When the temperature of the coolant in the system drops below +2 degrees, code E is displayed on the display. This can happen if the equipment is idle for a long time due to a lack of electricity or gas. To start the unit, you need to fill the system with hot water so that the temperature of the coolant rises above the critical level of +2 degrees. That is why, when the boiler is not used in winter (or is idle for a long time), it is recommended to drain the water from both circuits.
A feature of Electrolux double-circuit boilers is the cyclic restart of the program (auto-restart function) every 30 minutes. Thanks to this function, the equipment will start on its own even after a power or gas supply is turned off without human intervention.
Another distinctive feature of Electrolux heating devices is that if the boiler operates in DHW mode for 60 minutes, it will automatically switch to heating. This function is provided to ensure that the coolant does not cool down to the lower limit of +2 degrees.
We looked at the main error codes for Electrolux boilers, which can be eliminated on their own. If more serious problems are detected, you will need to contact a service center.
Housewives use a stove or hob more often than other appliances. Induction cookers appeared on the market not so long ago, but have already proven themselves quite well.
The most popular manufacturers of induction cookers today:
- Electrolux;
- Gorenje;
- Mile.
All these manufacturers produce high-quality equipment, but they are not immune from malfunctions and errors during operation.
The most common malfunctions of induction cookers
Let's look at what malfunctions happen with this type of equipment and how they can be fixed.
The stove does not turn on
Make sure that the cookware you use is suitable for the type of stove and will not move off the burner. Otherwise, the stove will turn off the power. On induction cookers, the burner does not heat up. If everything is in order with the dishes, you need to contact a specialist to identify the breakdown.
The stove turns on automatically when there is no cookware on it
It is necessary to remove all metal objects from the surface of the stove and clean the stove. If the malfunction is not resolved, then the problem is in the control unit. It needs to be repaired or replaced.
Induction cooker not working
You should contact the service for this. There, technicians will be able to check the fuse, identify the blown part and replace it.
Lack of power
This is often caused by a defective power cable. The workshop will fix this problem and you will be able to use your tiles again.
Heating problems
A low heating rate may be due to the inappropriate diameter of the bottom of the pan for this burner. It is necessary to check the tightness of the cookware to the surface of the burner. If the pressure springs are loose, they need to be tightened to the level specified in the instructions. You can see how to do this in the video.
Automatic device shutdown
This happens if:
- within 10 seconds from the moment the stove was turned on, no commands were received on the control panel;
- the operating time of the burners exceeds 2 hours;
- The automatic shutdown time is set using a timer.
Error codes for induction cookers from various manufacturers
It often happens that the induction cooker gives an error. To understand exactly what problem has arisen, you need to know what kind of malfunction a particular code displays.
Thus, error E3 of an induction cooker means that the mains voltage is outside the operating range, and error E0 indicates that the device is incorrectly configured. However, codes from different manufacturers may indicate different faults. For example, code E0, in addition to problems with the settings, may also mean there is no cookware on the burner, and code E3 may mean problems with the inverter.
Let's look at the fault codes that can be issued by induction cookers from manufacturers Electrolux, Combustion, Bosch, Miele and Kitfort, with decoding.
An Electrolux induction cooker error can be indicated by one of the following codes:
- L - “Child lock” is active;
- flashing F symbol - there is no suitable type of cookware on the burner;
- E1 - the maximum permissible temperature near the electronics has been exceeded;
- E3 - it is impossible to communicate with the inverter;
- E4 - the maximum temperature of the burners has been exceeded;
- E5 - network error;
- E6 - no connection with the power unit.
If errors E3, E5 and E6 occur, you must seek help from a qualified technician so as not to damage the device.
Fault codes for Miele induction cooker:
- EF35 - damage to the induction power board;
- U accompanied by a sound signal - incorrect connection of the burners;
- E - burner overheating;
- E (ER) - electronics error.
An error on a Bosch induction cooker is indicated by the code:
- E-22 - the sensor is faulty; there is dirt or moisture on the surface of the stove;
- E-25 - Bosch power board is damaged;
- ER-26 - unacceptably high voltage.
If any of these codes appear on the display and it is impossible to carry out independent repairs, it is recommended to take the stove to Bosch service center specialists to troubleshoot the problem.
Manufacturer model fault codes Combustion:
- F1 - short circuit;
- F2 - damage to the measuring circuit;
- F6 - it is impossible to establish communication with the power board;
- F15 - temperature sensor malfunction;
- F16 - power supply has failed;
- F18 - control sensor damage;
- F85 - electronic module overheating.
Kitfort induction cooker error codes
- E0 - absence of suitable type of cookware on the stove;
- E3 - the maximum permissible voltage has been exceeded;
- E4 - lack of voltage;
- E5 - overheating of the surface, perhaps there are empty dishes on the stove.
What to do if malfunctions are detected
An induction cooker can break down just like any other household appliance. Even stoves from well-known manufacturers such as Bosch or Electrolux can sometimes produce errors. Therefore, if any error code lights up on the display of your induction cooker, and you are not sure that you can fix the problem yourself, you should not take the risk. In this case, it is better to entrust the equipment to specialists who will solve the problem without harming your stove. Undertake self-repair only if you are fully confident that you know how to fix the problem.

Dmitriy:
Good afternoon, not a single forum gives a prompt answer to my question. The boiler mentioned in the topic came up with error E3. Features: when the “toggle switch” is turned to the OFF position, the error does not go away, the boiler does not write “OFF” and the fan does not turn off, the fan continues to work until the power is turned off. When you turn it back on, the first thing you do is turn on the fan again and after 3 seconds E3 drops out again, the fan continues to spin until you unplug it from the socket.
The pressure switch (air pressure switch) is working, they checked it - they removed the fan power from the board, turned on the boiler power, then returned the power to the fan, it started spinning and the boiler caught fire as during normal operation, i.e. the signal goes from the pressure switch to the board. The question is why the fan behaves this way, it does not turn off. There is a suspicion of blocks K3, K4, K5 on the control board (in the photo to the right of the fan power supply, red connector), maybe one of them is the relay of the fan itself and it has failed, so it does not turn off when OFF and threshes without stopping . I read somewhere, they wrote about the K4 block with an identical problem, maybe that’s the problem?
Answer:
Hello. I would first check the fan relay to see if it is working properly before tinkering with the board. Perhaps it is “stuck”. It is better to leave this to specialists by contacting a service center or contact the boiler manufacturer with this question.
The issue of interchangeability or repair of blocks on the boiler board still relates more to the electronic field than to engineering, and for repairing the board at home it is difficult to give such advice without seeing the subject of discussion in front of you.
This boiler has a relay:
- JZC-33F 024-HS3 (555)
- 10A 125vac
- 5A 30vdc
- 5A 250vac
Most likely K4 is acting up - listen to it while the boiler is running - if it crackles or makes other suspicious noises - the problem is definitely in it. You can try to buy a suitable one and re-solder it, but keep in mind that later problems with servicing the boiler may arise, since specialists do not like it when users delve into the instrument boards themselves...
If you have any questions, write.
Dmitriy:
Alexander, hello. Happy New Year. Thanks for your response. They still took the risk of getting into the fee, because... According to the operation of the boiler, everything points to relay K4. They unsoldered it, and it was really stuck, as you said - one of the contacts had a burned-out housing, they replaced it with a simple car relay, first 12V, but it got hot, apparently the voltage on the board was 24V, they replaced it with a 24-V auto relay, and so far it doesn’t seem to get that hot .
While we wait for the original one from China, the car one will work. The boiler is now operating normally. We decided to get in because... it was necessary to solve it more quickly than what was offered to us during the holidays and, as a rule, everyone recommended changing the entire board, and this would have been an order of magnitude more expensive, plus everything. Thanks again for your response.
Answer:
Thank you, happy New Year too!
If you have any questions, write, good luck and happy holidays again!
No matter how reliable the technology is, it can fail over time. Every problem has its own reasons. Errors displayed on the displays of Electrolux boilers help to identify them. The decoding of the codes can be found in the instructions. And we will tell you what steps should be taken to fix the problem.
Operating principle of Electrolux boilers
Gas equipment from the Electrolux company has a wide range of models to suit every taste. Among the boilers you will find double-circuit and single-circuit. The equipment is perfectly adapted to Russian operating conditions. The manufacturer has provided the following points:
- Interruptions in pressure in the water and gas mains - all devices function stably even at minimum pressure;
- Frosty winters are not scary for technology. The Anti-Freeze function ensures constant operation of the device;
- High efficiency - 94%.
The protection system was not ignored either. The safety valve will protect against high pressure, the flame sensor will protect against fire extinguishing in the burner, and the draft sensor will protect against carbon monoxide entering the room.
The modern ETS control system makes operation comfortable. The user can adjust the temperature depending on the weather outside. When leaving the house, program the equipment to work at intervals of 30 minutes. This will significantly reduce costs.
The most popular type among users is the double-circuit mounted boiler. It provides hot water to taps and radiators.
You can see the structure of the device in the picture below:
The operation of the closed combustion chamber is carried out by a fan, which forcibly removes combustion products to the street. Accordingly, such systems do not require a chimney.
There are models with an open chamber. To maintain the flame, they require natural ventilation in the room and a connection to a chimney.
Basic faults and error codes
On the main panel of the boiler there are not only regulators, but also a display. It displays the temperature as well as fault codes. The electronic control is equipped with a self-diagnosis system. Therefore, if problems arise during operation, an error is displayed on the screen.
How to correct the situation and resume operation of the equipment? In the table below we will present a breakdown of all possible errors, as well as options for solving them.
Codes | Meaning | Reasons for appearance | How to fix |
E1 (E01) | No flame. | Reduced pressure in the gas line, non-working ignition electrode. | What do we have to do:
|
E2 (E02) | The coolant is overheating. | What happened:
|
Troubleshooting:
|
E3 | The operation of the device is blocked. | Security system activated:
|
|
E4 (E04) | The pressure in the heating circuit is below 1 bar. | The heat exchanger is clogged with scale. The radiator was corroded and leaking. | First of all, turn off the equipment, open the fuel valve until the values on the pressure gauge begin to correspond to the norm. Then start the device. Has the error appeared again? Then:
|
E5 | The pressure gauge shows increased pressure (more than 2.5 bar). |
|
Inspect the valve - it should operate in a timely manner. Clean the strainer; it could be clogged with debris and rust; In addition, in Electrolux models type 24 Basic Space Duo, code F4 may appear. This means that the circulation pump has broken down, because the pressure does not exceed 0.1 Bar. Replace the device. Code l01 indicates a clogged heat exchanger - descaling is required. And error E7 means a malfunction of the coolant sensor. Or it gives incorrect indicators. If the sensor is working properly, the board is checked. Users also complain about noise and squeaking in the boiler. There is probably too much air accumulated in the system, or the fan has failed. Now you have familiarized yourself with all the faults and can begin repairs. |
