Such a device has a universal application - it combines three devices, each of which has maximum performance. The high power of the engine makes the universal woodworking machine Enkor Corvette-320 one of the most functional in the budget class, however, it is worth remembering that the functions can be used exclusively in turn - the motor is the only one and it is necessary to switch the drive by changing its configuration. Relatively small dimensions and moderate weight allow you to quickly move the model over long distances, as well as install it on a regular table without using special stand. It should be noted the maximum ease of use, which is achieved through the use of large desktops and smooth adjustments of characteristics.
Drive and working area
The base surface is a planer table made of ductile iron - its dimensions reach 964*210 mm, which allows you to work with large workpieces. Its fastening allows you to tilt boards and bars at an angle of up to 45 degrees, due to which the Encor Corvette-320 model can work in the manufacture of complex finished products. In addition, the manufacturer also provides for the use of a second desktop, on which drilling and milling are carried out - despite the fact that the price of the fixture is low, it has maximum convenience due to the ability to quickly move along the guides. The electric motor installed on the device is the only thing that somewhat limits performance, however, allows you to achieve maximum efficiency. Its power reaches 1.5 kW, which allows the Enkor Corvette-320 unit to achieve high efficiency in the use of any function - drilling, milling, sawing, planing. In addition, like other similar devices that the manufacturer's catalog contains, the machine is equipped with all the necessary security systems, including overload protection, an electromagnetic starter and a set of thermal relays.
Performance characteristics
If we talk about planing, then the sale of the device is carried out using a knife shaft equipped with three blades, which can spin up to a speed of 3500 rpm. Due to this, the universal woodworking machine Enkor Corvette-320 gets good characteristics - it can remove 3 mm of wood in one pass, subject to the allowable width of 200 mm. The use of a saw blade with a diameter of 255 mm also makes it possible to cut workpieces up to 70 mm thick and 300 mm wide, including sheet finishing materials. The side worktable is designed for drilling and milling with a tool diameter of 1.5 to 13 mm, regardless of his appointment. The vertical stroke of the surface is 40 mm, longitudinal - 70 mm, and transverse - 45 mm, which ensures maximum comfort. In order to fix the workpiece, a clamp with a large support sole equipped with a plastic tip is used.

Height adjustment of planer knives (replacement, installation) (Fig. 12)
To obtain a flat surface on the workpiece, the cutting edge of the knife must be at the same distance from the surface of the pickup table.
Disconnect the electrical plug of the machine from the power outlet. Rotate the cutterhead to the position of the knife to be checked, as shown in Fig. 12 (upper knife position).
WARNING: The cutterhead blades are very sharp. Handle them with care.
Loosen the clamping plate mounting screws by turning them clockwise with a wrench. Remove the pressure bar together with the knives from the cutterhead, clean the pressure bar, the pressure plate seat and the knives from sawdust and dust. Inspect the knives, clamping bar and screws. If there is damage, the parts must be replaced. Then, fully assemble the blades and hold-down bar and place them securely into the grooves of the cutterhead by turning the hold-down bar fixing screws counterclockwise. At this stage, the screws should only be lightly tightened.
NOTE: When processing highly resinous workpieces, wood resin and sawdust can stick to the knives and work shaft, which degrades the quality of the machined surface. Periodically check the condition of the cutterhead and knives, if necessary, clean the surfaces of the cutterhead and knives.
Check the protrusion of the knives above the surface of the pickup table. The protrusion of the knives should be no more than 0.1 mm, but not lower than the surface of the receiving table. After the cutterhead blades are in the correct position, securely fasten the screws, starting with the center mounting screws and ending with the outer mounting screws.
Attention: It is not recommended to use various key extensions or other devices to prevent excessive torque and possible damage to the threads of the clamping bar or fastening screws. For your own safety, you should immediately replace a damaged clamping plate or fastening screws with damaged threads.
- To prevent possible imbalance of the cutterhead, replace all planer knives at the same time.
- It is recommended to sharpen the planer knives of this machine on universal sharpening machines equipped with a grinding wheel and technological fixtures for clamping.
- Carbide knives should be sharpened only on a special grinding machine in a specialized service workshop.
- HSS knives can be sharpened on a wet stone using a special device for choosing the sharpening angle. It is recommended to sharpen knives with a fine-grained whetstone.
- To control the geometric parameters of the cutting part of planer knives after sharpening, universal goniometers with a measurement range of 00–1800 or angle templates should be used.
- Planer knives should be sharpened only on the back 45 (see fig. G). The back angle α of sharpening the planer knife depends on the hardness of the wood. For soft woods (linden, aspen, pine, spruce) the recommended rear sharpening angle should be α = 35°, for hard woods (beech, oak, dogwood) α = 45°.
- To work with ordinary wood, a sharpening angle of 40 ° is used.
- The cutting edge of the planer knife after sharpening must be straight along the entire length, sharp and free of blockages. It should not have notches, scratches and cracks.
- It is advisable to use the bar moistened with water. The surface of the bar must be straight and smooth.
- To remove burrs after sharpening, finish the planer knives with a finishing abrasive block.
- Before installing the knives on the machine, they must be balanced so that they have the same length, width, thickness and weight. Balancing of knives is carried out on a special device or on a balancing scale. The difference in mass of knives is allowed no more than 0.5% (no more than 1 gram). In addition, the knife shaft on which the knives are attached and the fasteners must also be balanced. One of the options for static balancing of planer knives is the removal (grinding) of the metal layer from its end 43 (see Fig. G). Remove the metal of the planer knife 40 at the end 43 only to the line of intersection of the back surface 45 and the supporting surface 46.
- When installing planer knives on the cutter shaft, make sure that they fit snugly with the supporting surface and the front surface to the planes of the clamping bars and the grooves of the cutter shaft.
- The left and right sides of each blade must be parallel to the plane of the fixed table.
