Galan electronic boiler. Galan electrode boiler, what is it, how to install an electrode boiler.
household heating boilers replenished with new models - Galan electrode boilers, which have an obvious advantage. Unlike other heating devices, the electrode boiler does not need to be approved for installation in accordance with the current "Rules". What are the models of the new boiler, and what conditions exist for its own connection?
Galan boilers, principle of operation, technical characteristics and design
The electrode heating boiler is a heating element equipped with materials from a European manufacturer. Recall that this is AISI 316L stainless steel and nichrome with increased load capacity, which can withstand a long work cycle.
Principle of operation Galan electrode boiler consists in passing electric current (electrolysis) through a special non-freezing coolant.
Electrolysis and heat transfer of the heated state of the electrodes is carried out at DC. The compact design of the heating blocks is distinguished by the small overall dimensions and weight of the boiler assembly. The coolant of the heating electrode system is antifreeze.
technical characteristics of electrode boilers
The main technical characteristic of the electrode boiler is power.
The range of electrode boilers is represented by the Ochag, Geyser and Vulkan models.
The smallest heating boiler is a series HOME , which has an insignificant power consumption (from 2 to 6 kW), intended for heating an area of 120, 230 and 280 cubic meters.
For example, the Galan hearth 3 electrode boiler has the following characteristics:
- overall dimensions: length 275 mm, 35 mm, device weight less than 1 kg.
- power of 3 kW allows you to heat a room with an area of 120 m3.
Models GEYSER of medium productivity have increased power - 9 and 15 kW with the possibility of heating a room with an area of 340 and 550 m3. Overall dimensions are 360 and 410 mm, 130 mm, weight 5 kg.
The most powerful models are VOLCANO , with a capacity of 25, 36 and 50 kW and are designed for space heating from 830 to 1650 m3.
The linear efficiency of the electrode boiler can reach 96-98%. In relation to the traditional heating element, the efficiency of the electrode boiler is up to 50% due to the method of direct heating of the coolant.
construction of electrode boilers
The first thing that catches your eye when you see electrode boilers is an unusual design. Instead of a pot-bellied and voluminous boiler, long cylindrical structures with two threaded flanges, indicated by arrows different color(incoming blue and outgoing red). The metal body of the boiler can have a diameter of 40 to 100 mm and a length of 310 - 350 mm.
In the process of electrolysis and during heating of the coolant in the boiler, the internal pressure rises to 2 atm. The heated water is pushed up, providing the functions of a circulation pump. In addition, Galan electrode boilers are distinguished by the presence heating automation with a simple instrument control system.
Particular attention deserves multifunctional control units designed to implement a certain algorithm for the operation of electric heaters. It will be difficult to install and install an electrode boiler without certain knowledge.
The installation process comes down to installing the Galan boiler directly, attachments, piping, connecting electronics and pumping coolant into the heating system.
Contents of delivery
The scope of delivery of the electrode boiler from the manufacturer includes:
- electrode block with power from 3-50 kW
- power unit, including circuit breaker, modular contactor and digital water temperature controller
- digital air temperature controller "climate control" unit.
Attachments (expansion tank and pump) are not included in the delivery, so their parameters are pre-calculated, and the equipment is purchased separately.
heating system requirements
To ensure the normal functioning heating system a number of requirements must be met:
- the proposed heating system should be two-pipe closed type with membrane expansion tank (volume 1/10L)
- the boiler is mounted vertically, without exceeding the level of the radiators
- when piping the boiler, it is recommended to observe the ratio of the diameters of the boiler block (Ø 32), riser Ø32 (1 ″ / 1/4), line (Ø 25), leads to the radiator (Ø 20).
Piping of the electrode boiler
The following components of the heating system are subject to piping of the electrode boiler:
- expansion tank
- circulation pump
- security group
- return taps and coarse filter
- coolant inlet valve
- valve for draining the coolant from the system
- supply tap.
Before installation and installation of the Galan electrode boiler, it is necessary to calculate the components of the heating system. The power of the boiler is calculated according to the area of \u200b\u200bthe room and the height of the ceilings, as well as the material of the walls of the house or apartment. Then they determine the place of the future installation of the boiler and develop a scheme and decoupling of the mains, the type of radiators.
If it is planned to install the boiler in an existing heating system (in most cases), then the calculation may be limited to the correct piping and connection of the power unit and thermostat.
We install the Galan boiler
For installation of the boiler Galan use plastic pipes. In horizontal wiring it is necessary to create a slope of 3 degrees. The height of the vertical riser must be at least 2 m above the boiler. The electrode boiler requires grounding with a grounding resistance of 4 ohms.
After installing the boiler, place expansion tank and circulation pump. Stopcocks installed on the main pipeline after the return and expansion tank. Valves are installed before and after the radiator group.
How to mount the boiler and standard attachments is shown here.
Boiler connection diagrams
There are several schemes for connecting the boiler: basic standard, parallel connection and connection to the underfloor heating system for a rated voltage of 220 and 380 V, and many other equally interesting schemes.
The simplest are the connection diagrams for a single-phase electrode boiler or a three-phase electrode boiler with control electronics, circulation pump and filter. But no matter what scheme you prefer to implement, a prerequisite is the grounding of the installation.
For example, for an electrode boiler galan hearth 3 with a nominal power consumption of 3 kW, according to the basic connection scheme, a voltage with a frequency of 50 Hz and a maximum current of the boiler in phases of 13.7 A and a starting current of 5 A is required.
In this case, the connection is carried out using a conductive copper core of a wire with a cross section of 4 mm2 and to the heating system using a DN 32 mm coupling.
But the electrode boiler remained an ordinary boiler, if the heating system did not have controls with a unit for measuring and adjusting the operating parameters of KROS.
Electronic boiler control
The electronic control is a device equipped with a sensor unit, a cable and an interface plug for connection to a standard RS232 interface. Schematically, the electronic control of the boiler (KROS) consists of controllers, a boiler power regulator, an electronic key for controlling the circulation pump.
There are current controllers and coolant conductivity controllers. The current controller limits the current value at the operating level set at system startup.
The conductivity controller performs the functions of determining the state of the coolant: it turns off the boiler when the heat carrier reaches a critical level of conductivity or continues to work. Conductivity and carrier temperature sensors are remote.
For installation of cables of the control unit, a wire with a cross section of 0.12-2.5 mm2 is used. The ends of the cable for control circuits are stripped by 7-10 mm. The terminal screws loosen and install the wires. It is necessary to tighten the terminals with a force of no more than 2 Nm.
Video will help to connect the control unit.
After installation and connection, electrolyte is pumped into the heating system and the heating parameters are adjusted. To control the current strength in the system, mounted clamps are used.
In the current conditions, when it becomes more and more expensive to heat houses in the cold season, several different heat sources appear in modern heating points of private houses. Often, an electric heating boiler serves as the main or additional source, since heating with electricity has its advantages.
Overview of products of the brand "GALAN"
Units are very popular among homeowners. Russian production due to their affordable price. One of the leading manufacturers of electric heating equipment is considered to be the Galan trademark, which offers several types of heat generators and control units for them. It is worth noting that the company produces all electromechanical and electronic controls independently and only for its equipment. The manufacturer also sells its electric heaters without a set of automation, but in this case it disclaims warranty obligations.
Heating installations Galan
The company has existed since 1994 and is engaged in the production and sale of heating electrical installations, automation equipment for them, as well as non-freezing and flushing liquids used in building heating systems. At the moment, the assortment offered by the company can be grouped into the following positions:
- heating energy-saving boilers Galan electrode type;
- the same, equipped with heating elements;
- electromechanical automatic devices;
- electronic control units;
- ready-made heat carrier for electrode heat generators;
- flushing liquid for heating systems.
Boilers of electrode type
The manufacturer has chosen the optimal design of electrode heating boilers with economical use of materials. Unit housing - section metal pipe with a steel electrode inserted inside, to which a phase wire is connected. The neutral wire and ground are connected to the terminals of the apparatus case. When it is filled with water and the supply voltage is turned on, a direct conversion of electricity into heat occurs due to the conductivity of water. Conductivity occurs due to the movement of charged particles of salts contained in ordinary water from one electrode to another. Since the current in our network is alternating, with a frequency of 50 Hz, the direction of the particles also changes 50 times per second, causing heat to be generated.
Thermal power range covered electric boilers Galan electrode type, ranges from 2 to 50 kW. The devices are divided into modifications as follows:
- Single-phase heaters "Ochag" with a power of 2 to 6 kW with a supply voltage of 220 V.
- Three-phase units "Geyser", 9-15 kW, 380 V.
- Heat generators of high power "Volcano", 25-50 kW, 380 V.
- Detailed technical characteristics of products are presented in table 1.
Attention! Firm Galan in all its prospectuses and on web resources indicates the volume of heated premises in cubic meters, and not their area, as is usually the case.
At the same time, there is a reservation that the value of the heated volume for each modification of the product is correct, provided that the house is properly insulated. You should pay attention to this when choosing electric boilers of any type, manufactured under the Galan trademark. If the heated building does not have the necessary thermal insulation, then it is recommended to select a heat generator using the traditional method, according to the specific amount of heat per unit area of the house according to its external measurement. The sufficient heat flow for heating is 100 W/m2, which means that for every 100 m2 of area there should be 10 kW of thermal energy.
Because the electric heating of a private house using Galan units will work with an efficiency of 98% (manufacturer's data), then for an enlarged selection it is enough to find a suitable electrical power installation in the table below. During operation, each kilowatt of electricity will be converted into 0.98 kW of heat. The control is carried out by a remote electromechanical or electronic unit, which will be discussed below.
Boilers with tubular electric heaters
The company produces TENovye heating electric boilers of two varieties. The first outwardly resembles electrode water heaters, the difference lies in the dimensions of the case and its internal "stuffing". Instead of a metal electrode, one or more heating elements are located inside, the connecting terminals of which are brought out on one side of the case.
This model of hot water installation is offered in several modifications covering the power range from 3 to 30 kW.
Detailed specifications of this model range are presented in table 2.
The efficiency with which the electrical water heating with a heating element, the manufacturer also declares at the level of 98%, which means that the procedure for selecting a heat generator for heating a house should be carried out according to the above method.
The heating element electric boiler Galan of the second variety is available in two versions: the budget "Stealth" and the luxury "Galax". Both are rectangular cabinets suspended from the wall. AT budget version inside the cabinet there are only the main elements: a tank with heating elements and an automated control unit. The luxury package includes optional equipment:
- circulation pump;
- automatic control of coolant flow;
- safety valve;
- automatic air blower;
- manometer.
In the budget version of Stealth, automation controls the operation of the heating elements, maintaining the temperature of the coolant, and also protects the entire unit from overheating if the circulation of water in the system has stopped for some reason. TEN electric boiler for heating "Galax" in its configuration is close to imported analogues, since it has an additional degree of safety and is equipped with its own circulation pump.
Heating installation Galax
Detailed technical characteristics of the heat generators of the "Stealth" and "Galax" versions are presented, respectively, in tables 3 and 4.
Note: the letter M in the name indicates that the product is equipped with electromechanical automation, and the letter L - electronic.
Complete Automation Tools
Since electric heating using electrode and some models of heating elements needs external control, the Galan company produces for this purpose automation devices that complete its products:
- electromechanical regulators;
- temperature controllers;
- programmable control units;
- multichannel controllers with GSM-module.
The simplest controller of the electromechanical type MRT-15 can control heat generators with a power of up to 6 kW with a single-phase connection and up to 15 kW with a three-phase connection. The range of adjustable coolant temperatures in return pipeline– from 10 to 60 ºС. To avoid overheating, the device turns off the heating when the water temperature exceeds 90 ºС.
The same function is performed by other types of controllers of the Navigator line, which turn on and off the electric power part by means of thyristor or electromagnetic starters. The devices can work with heaters of any power and have a number of additional functions. This includes programmable maintenance of water temperature by day and time of day, joint work with room thermostats, light indication of faults and reporting them using a GSM module to a cell phone.
Conclusion
Over the years of its work in the markets of the CIS countries, the company has established itself as a manufacturer of reliable and affordable heating electrical equipment. It is also important that any Galan boiler can be additionally equipped with remote control devices from the same manufacturer.
The choice of the main source of heat for a dwelling is a rather scrupulous and responsible process. If a local gas pipeline does not pass near the house, then it is worth taking a closer look at electrical appliances heating. As the reviews of the owners show, Galan's electric heating equipment has proven itself well. The operation of such electric boilers is based on the physical principles of ionization of the coolant, which carries heat due to the movement of split ions between the electrodes.
Why are Galan boilers so attractive?
Many owners of such heating equipment highlighted in their reviews a number of facts that intrigued them. According to them, electrode Galan boilers have proven themselves:
- Fairly high quality.
- Small sizes.
- Reliable features.
How heating is carried out
To determine the choice of heating equipment, it is necessary to clearly understand how a particular boiler works. In the units of the Galan company, the heat carrier is heated by passing electric current through the heating elements. In another type of heating equipment, the heating medium is heated by heating the heating element itself. It's not exactly economical. As owner reviews show, contact with the coolant occurs through the electrodes connected to the heating elements, which are energized.
In Galan electric boilers, the electrodes change poles about 50 times per second. These parts are connected to alternating voltage. Due to the rapid and alternating change of poles, the coolant ions, which are in a discharged state, begin to move randomly. In other words, in different directions. Such oscillations are always accompanied by the release of a sufficiently large amount of energy. This phenomenon causes an increase in temperature. In this case, the participation of the heating element is optional.
As the reviews show, ionization chamber is the main element of Galan heating equipment. This is where the base heating takes place. The camera itself is small. It should be noted that with a sharp heating of the coolant, the pressure rises to almost two atmospheres. This allows the heater to perform the functions of not only the main heating, but also the pump.
How Galan boilers work
In the reviews, many owners indicate the simplicity of the structure of the boilers. The main elements of such equipment include:
As you can see, Galan electrode boilers and their principle of operation practically do not differ from the traditional one. Heating of the heat carrier is carried out in the generator. After that, the coolant passes through the main wiring. Once in the heating radiators, the coolant gives off its heat. As a result, the air in the room is heated. As a coolant in such heating systems, you can use not only water, but also antifreeze.
Owner reviews show that for more efficient operation of Galan's heating equipment, it is better to use special compound argus-galan.
The main advantage of Galan boilers is that they not only heat residential premises, but can also become the main source of hot water supply. Some models of Galan boilers have a storage external boiler, in which the water is heated precisely by the coolant from the main source.
Varieties of Galan boilers
At the moment, the Galan company has released several series of heating equipment. Reviews indicate that the products of each model range have their own advantages and disadvantages. The main thing is to choose the right boiler, focusing on the conditions in which the equipment will be operated. This is the only way to avoid many problems.
Lineup "Ochag"
Today, several modifications of the heating equipment of the Hearth series are produced:
- Hearth-2.
- Hearth-3.
- Hearth-5
- Hearth-6
Judging by the reviews, the electrode boilers of this series have low power. This indicator is only 2 - 6 kW. Such models are designed mainly for heating small-sized rooms, with a volume of about 80 - 250 cubic meters. The volume of coolant in the heating system can be 20 - 70 liters.
The size of the Galan boilers of the "Ochag" series is also small. The length of the product is only 25 - 33.5 centimeters, and in diameter - 35 centimeters. The equipment weighs about a kilogram. Galan boilers of the “Ochag” model range operate from a conventional power supply network of 220 watts.
Lineup "Geyser"
This heating equipment is available in just a few options:
- Geyser-6.
- Geyser-9.
Such heating equipment is designed for heating rooms, the internal volume of which is 250 - 340 cubic meters. To install a Galan boiler from the Geyser series, a three-phase network with a voltage of 380 W is required. Galan boilers, as written in the reviews, with proper thermal insulation consume only 2.5 - 4 kW per hour. The weight of such heating equipment is about five kilograms. In the heating system, the volume of coolant should be 50 - 200 liters.
Model range "Volcano"
This is the largest electrode boiler from the entire range of Galan. Similar heating appliances weigh almost six kilograms and have a power of 25 kW. The boiler from the Volcano series is working only from a three-phase network. The Galan boiler of this modification is able to heat a room with an internal volume of up to 850 cubic meters.
Disadvantages and advantages of Galan boilers
As the reviews show, Galan boilers have certain advantages and, of course, disadvantages. Such equipment is manufactured in accordance with innovative technologies. However, due to the design possibilities, such heating equipment has a clear advantage over conventional heating boilers. In their reviews, the owners highlight the following advantages:
Of course, any heating equipment has its drawbacks. In their reviews, the owners highlight several "cons":
- The high cost of electricity consumed by the unit.
- The impossibility of using the Galan unit for arranging beds in a greenhouse, underfloor heating systems. In addition, such equipment cannot be used to heat the pool.
- When installing heating equipment with a power of more than 10 kW, coordination with Energonadzor is required.
How economical are Galan boilers
This question interests many. In some reviews you can find detailed information on heating costs. However, there is constant debate about how much Galan equipment consumes electricity. Most sellers claim that such heating equipment is much more economical than heating boilers. Some even point out a certain figure - 30%. Others argue that if the boiler is 9 kW, then it will consume 9 kW.
Of course it is. However, there are negative reviews in which many people praise old heating equipment. Often such messages are left by theorists who have never used Galan boilers. It is difficult to find a negative review from the owners of such heating systems.
Electrode boilers Galan win due to the small inertia of the system. There are no gaps between carriers. All the energy received is immediately transferred to the coolant. This is very important not only during the first start of the entire system, but also in the future to maintain a certain temperature regime. In this case, the heating of the coolant is carried out instantly. The boiler takes no time for heating heaters.
Exactly the same situation with the shutdown. When the power supply is interrupted, the heating stops immediately. In this case, there is also no inertia. At the same time, the temperature is kept at a certain level and there is no waste of electricity. However, for the arrangement of such a heating system, high-quality automation is required. But it costs a lot.
Finally
Heating equipment Galan recent times is gaining popularity. This can be explained not only by good operational and technical specifications. The boilers of this company are equipped with many additional details such as programmers, overheat protection devices, pumps and storage tanks. The coolant heats up very quickly and there are no special problems during operation. At the same time, the units are small in size. Thanks to this, they can be installed even in small rooms.
The modern gas and oil products market is notable for its instability and unpredictability. This was a good reason to look for more economical, renewable energy sources.
In developed countries, nuclear power is increasingly preferred. At the government level, state programs for the construction of solar and wind power plants are initiated.
In terms of heat supply, the main emphasis is on the use of units powered by electricity as heat sources. Widespread electric boilers of various design, allowing to significantly reduce the cost of heating, both industrial and residential buildings.
Types of electric boilers
The design of such boilers consists of a tank (heat exchanger), an automatic control unit and heating elements. Automated system performs the function of adjusting the heating process and maintaining the set temperature.
- The power range of single-phase models ranges from 4 to 12 kW, three-phase - up to 60 kW.
- Adjustment: two- or three-stage.
- Mounting method: wall or floor.
Induction boilers
Induction boilers work on the principle of an electrical transformer. The heating unit is a two-circuit design, in which the primary circuit is a coil with a winding, and the secondary circuit is a heat exchanger. The coolant is heated by induction currents arising under the influence of magnetic fields.
Advantages of induction boilers
- The efficiency is about 90% or more.
- Long service life.
- High level of security.
- Ease of maintenance.
- Double-circuit models are used both for space heating and for heating water, which is used in everyday life.
Electrode heating boilers
A bit of history
The first models of electrode boilers were designed and assembled in the middle of the last century at the enterprises of the military-industrial complex Soviet Union. Initially, they were installed on diesel submarines. This type of boiler in all respects met the requirements of life support for the crew of a submarine, having high efficiency, small dimensions and the possibility of using sea water as a coolant.
The civilian model of the electrode boiler was patented in 1995.
Principle of operation
The work of the electrode boiler is carried out through the use of the process coolant ionization. As a result, water molecules break up into different ions that move between the anode and cathode at a frequency of 50 Hz. The result of this movement is the release of a large amount of thermal energy. In other words, the heating of the coolant occurs without heating elements.
Due to this, the electricity consumption of electrode boilers is one third lower compared to analogues, in the design of which various heating elements are used. Low starting current will significantly reduce the load on the power grid, which is important to ensure uninterrupted operation. automatic systems network management.
The fast and chaotic movement of ions in aquatic environment contributes to a significant acceleration of heating of the coolant. During operation, the polarity of the electrodes is constantly changing (with a frequency of up to 50 times per second). Frequent reversal of polarity prevents water from decomposing into hydrogen and oxygen, since the electrolysis process requires direct current.
As the temperature rises inside the boiler, the liquid pressure increases. This is the reason natural circulation water in the heating system. That is, when using electrode boilers there is no need to install circulation pumps.
Requirements for the chemical composition of the coolant
For uninterrupted operation of the electrode boiler, the heating system must be filled with water containing a certain amount of salts. Its ohmic resistance at room temperature should not exceed 3000 ohms.
Technical characteristics of electrode boilers
Advantages
- Small dimensions.
- High efficiency (reaching the maximum value).
- It does not require the installation of such a bulky structure as a chimney.
- The electrode boiler is not afraid of significant voltage drops in the network.
- Ionic boilers can be used as an additional source of heat. In large heating networks, it is possible to install several boilers at the same time.
- When operating electrode boilers, there are no harmful emissions into the atmosphere, which is typical for models operating on liquid and solid fuels.
Flaws
- The maximum efficiency of electrode boilers is directly related to chemical composition coolant.
- An increase in water temperature above 75 ° C leads to a significant increase in energy consumption.
- During the operation of the boiler, regular cleaning of the electrodes from scale is required, which significantly reduces its efficiency.
- The installation and commissioning of electrode boilers requires the involvement of qualified specialists.
The design of the electrode boiler consists of a tank with a heat carrier, inside which the electrodes are installed. When installed in country houses boilers can be equipped with a remote control unit. Access to it is carried out through a satellite communication system.
What is the safety of operation of electrode boilers based on?
The main disadvantage of heating boilers of any type and design is the risk of destruction of the body and heating elements as a result of leakage of the coolant. In electrode boilers, this drawback is completely absent. The reason is that the coolant in them plays the role of a conductor in the electrical circuit, and without it the boiler will not work.
Electrode boilers Galan
Firm Galan is one of the leading domestic manufacturers of modern electric heating equipment. The production is based on revolutionary conversion developments that are used to produce military equipment.
Currently, the company specializes in the production of electrode boilers of the Ochag, Geyser and Vulkan models.
High reliability of the equipment is ensured by equipping the boilers with automation from German manufacturers, equipped with a programming function. Due to this, the operation of electrode boilers occurs in automatic mode around the clock.
The cost of the most popular models ranges from 200 to 400$. The spread of prices is due to the power and size of the heating equipment. For example, the Hearth model is designed to heat rooms up to 120 sq. m. At the same time, the weight of the unit is only 0.9 kg, and the maximum volume of the coolant reaches 50 liters.
Galan electrode boilers have become an innovation in the development of technology individual systems heating. The units are a modern modification of boilers with electric independent heating. In the Galan model, the classic heating element is replaced by an electrode block, which solved the main problem of electric boilers - the fragility of the heating element, made it possible to control the heating process by automatic modern systems. Energy savings in electrode boilers is more than 30% compared to traditional electrical units.

The general principle of operation of Galan models
- The principle is based on the laws of physics and chemistry, as well as the law of transformation of one energy into another.
- Under the influence of electrodes in the liquid, there is a splitting into negative and positively charged ions.
- There is a natural movement of charged particles, oppositely charged ones begin to combine into one, releasing a large amount of energy.
- Due to this, the process of heating the coolant begins.
- The described process occurs without the participation of a third element, for example, a heating element.
- Rapid heating of the coolant leads to an increase in pressure in the boiler up to two atmospheres.
- Pressurized water is pushed out into the heating system. An analogue of the principle is natural geysers, coffee makers, etc.
- The created water pressure, more than 25 meters, completely provides the system with the circulation of the coolant around the entire perimeter of the pipes.

As a result, shells form in the metal, progressive corrosion begins. Modern metal alloys have a high resistance to the effects of electrolytic solutions.
- The boiler is necessarily attached to one of the walls of the room. The method of connection to the heating system is not critical.
- Shut-off valves are not installed between the outlet and the expansion tank.
- Professional grounding of the heating system is carried out. A wire with a cross section of 2.5 m or more is selected, providing a resistance index of 0.1 Ohm.
- Connecting the boiler to the mains is carried out only by specialists - electricians who have a certificate of admission to work with electrical equipment up to 1 kW.
- All electrical work is carried out with stranded untinned copper wires. The cross section of the wire is selected according to the corresponding current load.
- The ends of the wire for connection are carefully cleaned from the oxide film and insulating material.
Boiler Galan. Wiring diagram
Several schemes for connecting the Galan unit are used:
1. circuit diagram. Produced in the following order:
- Minithermal station Galan.
- Radiator heating unit with shut-off valve.
- Temperature relay with sensor and indication indication.
- Expansion tank.
- Drain valve.
- Stop valve.
- Circulation pump with filter element.
2. Parallel connection. Produced with the following location:
- Liquid solid fuel or gas unit.
- Heating radiator block with shut-off valve.
- Temperature control relay with sensor.
- Expansion tank.
- Drain valve.
- Stop valve.
- Coarse filter.
- Circulation pump.
- Selected boiler model Galan.
- Circuit breaker from 25 A.
- Starter magnetic from 25 A.
- Temperature sensors input/output.
- Coil for magnetic starter.
- Heat relay contacts.
- Power indicator/ammeter.
- Boiler Galan.
4. The rule for placing sensors:
The Galan electrode boiler is connected according to the described schemes. The correct location of the sensors must be observed:
- Inlet temperature sensor. It is installed on the outlet pipeline of the last section of the radiator.
- The sensor for measuring the outgoing temperature parameter is always installed on the pipeline leaving the boiler.
- The connection of both sensors is carried out with a copper stranded wire. Wire cross section from 0.5 to 1 mm2.
- Automatic 25A is necessary for protection against overloads in the electrical network, it is used as a conventional on/off switch.
- The normal, operating position of the button for turning off / on the thermal relay is recessed. The button is located on the body of the magnetic starter. The operation of the button indicates a malfunction in the mains. After the malfunction has been eliminated, the thermal relay is switched on by pressing the button.
5. Setting the operating temperature parameter:
- The outlet temperature of the coolant is set within 70-75 C.
- The inlet temperature is calculated on the basis of numerous factors: the volume of the heating system, the temperature of the ambient atmospheric or air space inside the room, the volume of the heated space, the condition and indicator of the thermal insulation protection of the room. The recommended value of the incoming flow is from 40 to 45 C.
- The circuit breaker is switched on. Correct connection will lead to rapid heating of the heating system, as evidenced by the ammeter. The indication of the current parameter will be at least 23 A.
- The operation of the boiler in normal mode is carried out automatically. Reaching the limit temperature parameter will turn off the Galan boiler. Lowering the temperature of the coolant - to the operation of automatic switching on.
- The input sensor captures the set temperature parameter in the radiator sections. An increase in the indicator provokes the shutdown of the boiler. Lowering the parameter provokes its inclusion.
6. Choice of coolant for Galan models:
- The selection of liquid for the heat carrier of electrode boilers is carried out with great care. The service life and productivity of the unit depends on the composition and quality of water.
- The water quality must be of drinking water quality.
- As an option, boiled water with the addition of Galan inhibitor is used.
- The specific resistance of the coolant at + 15 C is not less than 1300 Ohm / cm. The measurement of the indicator is carried out by a special device - a conductometer.
- The best coolant is a special fluid designed for use in Galan boilers.
